JACKETS/NEOPRENE
Wearing waistcoats should be a matter of course for children and even for good swimmers there are situations where a waistcoat offers significant safety. The buoyancy aids (according to Euronorm), which are not faint-proof, do not hinder canoeing. On the contrary, a comfortable life jacket with Airex foam is very comfortable to wear, cushions and also insulates against wind and cold. Gatz-Kanus advises you to carry a separate waistcoat for each paddler.
Faint-proof life jackets, like those used for sailing, should be a must for small children. Again, there are models with varying degrees of comfort. Self-inflating life jackets are rarely used in canoeing.
